Regional Sceretary Jim Smith said that this was a great scheme run in conjunction with the Sports Council for Glasgow and recommended all Glasgow Clubs to join both the Sports Council and register for the Clubmark Scheme

Get Active (Safe): this is the 1st level of Clubmark and sets the minimum standards of operation, like that of child protection and First Aid. The aim is for clubs to have the tools to provide a safe environment for young people to enjoy sport at.

Be Active (Inclusive): this is the 2nd level of Clubmark. Clubs have to show evidence of having good procedures in place for the management of their club, with the main focus on the growth of the club to be more inclusive.

Stay Active (Effective): this is the final level of Clubmark accreditation. Within this level the main focus is on volunteer development, management and club development.
