Rule regarding the playing of friendlies
For teams outwith your league a permit is required

Rule 71

    Proposed by the SYFA Executive Committee and carried at 2010 AGM 

    All clubs, leagues, associations and players under the jurisdiction of the Association shall not be permitted to stage or play in any match or competition other than those approved by the Executive Committee.  

    All clubs, leagues and associations who wish to participate in friendly matches or tournaments must have permission from the relevant authority as follows:

    A local friendly match against another SYFA member club who play in the same league, permission to be sought from their League Secretary

    A friendly match against another SYFA member club who play in a different league, permission to be sought from their Regional Secretary

    A friendly match against a club not in membership of the SYFA, application to be made on the SYFA online system to the National Secretary

    To host or participate in a tournament, application to be made on the SYFA online system to the National Secretary

    At age group 12 teams will only be allowed to play 11 a side matches after the SYFA Annual General Meeting. 

Any club, league, association, player or club representative taking part in an unapproved match or tournament may be debarred from taking part in football under the jurisdiction of the Association until dealt with by the relevant committee.

Contact Regional Secretary - Jim Smith on 0141 764 3663 and leave details of friendly (in advance of the game) post a cheque for £2 plus the teamlines from the game within 3 days of the match
